Stand. Build. Become.
Welcome to the Stand. Build. Become. program.
This program is designed to help you grow step by step into a stronger, more capable, and more confident individual. It is not just something you complete—it is something you become. To ensure you receive the full benefit of the program, please follow these instructions carefully.
How to Complete Each Value
Each value in the program is broken into a series of steps. These steps are intentionally designed to build upon one another.
- Complete each step in order.
Do not skip ahead. Each step teaches principles and skills that prepare you for the next. - Focus on mastery, not speed.
Take your time to understand and apply what you are learning. The goal is lasting growth—not rushing to finish. - You may work on more than one value at a time.
While each value must be completed step-by-step in order, you are encouraged to work on multiple values simultaneously if you are able. This allows you to grow in different areas of your life at the same time. We suggest that you begin with the “Becoming a Master of Goal Setting” value.
Parent and Mentor Involvement
A key part of this program is learning through guidance, accountability, and discussion.
- Each step must be reviewed with a parent or mentor.
After completing a step, meet with your parent or mentor to discuss what you learned, what you practiced, and how you applied it. - Each step must be signed off.
Your parent or mentor should only sign off on a step once they feel you have genuinely completed and understood it. - Be honest in your progress.
This program works best when you are truthful about your effort and experience. Growth comes from real effort.
How to Use the Parent / Mentor Dialog Guidebook
The Parent / Mentor Dialog Guidebook is a powerful tool designed to help mentors guide, teach, and reinforce each step of every value.
For Parents and Mentors:
- Review each step before meeting.
Before discussing a step, read the corresponding section in the Mentor Dialog Guidebook. This will help you understand the purpose of the step and how to guide the conversation. - Use the provided dialogue as a guide—not a script.
The questions, prompts, and examples are there to help you lead meaningful conversations. Adapt them to fit your style and your relationship with the participant. - Engage in real conversation.
Ask questions. Listen carefully. Share experiences. The goal is connection and understanding—not just checking a box. - Reinforce key principles.
Help the participant connect what they are learning to real life. Encourage them, challenge them when needed, and celebrate their progress. - Address challenges and objections.
Use the “common objections” sections to help guide participants through resistance or lack of motivation.
Why the Parent / Mentor Dialog Matters
The mentor discussions are not optional—they are essential.
When used correctly, the Mentor Dialog Guidebook will:
- Deepen understanding of each principle
- Strengthen commitment and accountability
- Help the participant apply what they are learning in real life
- Build confidence through encouragement and feedback
- Strengthen the relationship between mentor and participant
Participants who actively engage in mentor discussions will experience far greater growth and success in the program.
